Nether Hall School is a maintained mixed Special School with foundation status.Nether Hall School’s mission is to create and deliver the highest quality education to children and young adults with significant special educational needs and disabilities.
Nether Hall caters for about 90 pupils aged 4-19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
The cohort of pupils that Nether Hall serves is very complex because a large proportion of pupils have additional needs which compound their cognitive difficulties and make learning challenging. A large proportion of these pupils are from ethnic backgrounds.
Pupils’ additional needs may be visual impairment, hearing impairment, autism, cerebral palsy.
Our new school building provides excellent facilities which allow us to teach a highly differentiated curriculum and focus on meeting the therapy needs of pupils.
